NORA ARGUMENT PAPER

The Character I feel sympathetic for is Nora because it’s not her fault she was acting like a child its pretty much the way she was raised with Helmer. For example parents sometimes raise their children like a kid and some treat their children different and grown up. When they grow up the act the way their parents raised them not always but most of the time. Helmer always treated Nora as a kid by calling her names like “squirrel”. And I feel bad for her cause she’s a mother and a grown women acting like one of her kids would act. But later own she realized what she was going through the way she was acting and the way her husband Helmer treated her. She realized that’s not what she wanted. She noticed that she never liked him the way she thought she did she was just use to him and the names she called her.

But later on the chapter she started to change her mind and attitude. She started realizing things and started acting more grown up. But she still had some problems the way she talked to Helmer and the way she acted but her mind was different. It was changing little by little and wasn’t doing the things she use to do for him. She use to do everything to see him happy and proud of her. But she didn’t care as much as before when she was acting up and doing everything for him even walking on her “ tip-toes” to see him laughing and entertain him.

In the beginning of Act.3 she changed completely what she use to be. She finally acted her age and like a mother she changed everything her attitude the way she acted. She didn’t do the things she was doing for him and got tired and had other things in mind to worry about. Which was the letter that was inside his mail box the letter she faked her fathers signature. She changed first because things got serious around her side. She wondered what would happen when he saw the letter that Krogstad wrote to Helmer. She was already making plans like an adult would do if her and Helmer broke up what would be the consequences she would have to do which was to move out of the house if they break up.

At the end of chapter.3 Nora changed completely and decided to take responsibility for herself. She broke up with Helmer even though what she did was wrong and they argued about it. She noticed that she doesn’t need him around that she was just use to him. She doesn’t need his money he never made her happy. It was always her making him happy and trying everything to go right. She moved out and probably doing her now not depending on him. The only thing she probably will regret is living her kids behind which she will probably see a few days a week.
